Eye Bags

There are several reasons why an eye bag may appear. One cause for under eye bags is excess fat resting on a lax eye muscle and in some cases there is extra fat creating baggy eyelids. Sometimes there is excess skin (dermochalasis) causing the eye bags or the eye bag is caused by a thickened eye muscle. Upper eyelid bags can be the result of drooping eyebrows.

Blepharoplasy is a very popular surgical procedure used to treat both upper and lower eye bags to remove excess fat, skin and muscle. Click here to read more about our surgeons.

Depending on the cause of the eye bag some correction can be achieved with minimally invasive procedures such as the Tear Trough procedure and Mesotherapy treatments.
